Caffè Vivace is a coffee house by day and a jazz lounge by night. It provides a space for Cincinnatians to gather, work, socialize and herald the musical art form of Jazz. Founded by Brent Gallaher and Vanessa Keeton with the goal of bringing a full-time jazz listening venue back to the Queen City, they paired it with a second passion for artisan coffee giving the residents of and visitors to Walnut Hills and the surrounding Cincinnati neighborhoods a place to grab their morning brew, hang out and work on their computers, or gather with friends over craftsman-quality coffee, espresso beverages, or even an alcoholic libation. As the workday draws to a close, patrons can stay and listen to our area's finest local jazz musicians, young and old, as well as the occasional regionally or nationally known artists.

Coffee Shop By Day
Caffè Vivace offers a full coffee and espresso menu Monday-Saturday (hours vary). We source only the finest artisan coffee from Carabello Coffee. They roast only the very best in quality coffee which is acquired through Fair Trade, farm-direct and direct-relationship. We add to this fine coffee offering, loose-leaf teas supplied by La Terza.
To go with these delicious beverages, we have a selection of premium pastries, in-house baked cookies, and an assortment of grab-and-go snacks. Hungry for more? Caffè Vivace also offers light food including our famous African Peanut Stew, premium flatbreads, hearty all-day breakfast sandwiches, and pastries from Baudry French Pastries.

Looking for live jazz in Cincinnati? We've got you covered five nights a week!
In the evenings, Tuesday through Saturday, Caffè Vivace begins the transition from coffee shop to jazz lounge. Our seating is rearranged to focus everyone on the stage, our bar starts full cocktail service on top of our great selection of craft beers and wines as we get in gear for a night of live jazz music from the finest musicians in the Queen City.
Check out our event listings and times. There is a variable admission charge, and a $10 drink minimum required per person to attend any of our shows. We take pride in our offering of a listening environment for our concerts. As such, we encourage the audience to refrain from conversing while performances are in progress. So, come in knowing that you’ll get to hear every note in a quiet room, that has great acoustics and that centers around the music!
